Tutorial: Setting Up Samba 3.x

admin – full access to workstation

teacher – almost full access to workstation – minus certain control panel functions

student – lockdown city – no network browsing, no software installation, no control panel

Workstations are joined to the Samba domain and function the same way they would in a Windows server based domain.

Baca Partisi EXT3 di Windows???… gunakan EXT2IFS ^_^’

duwww.. susah juga kalo punya file2 di partisi linux kita, sementara linuxnya ndiri gak jalan, trus mana perlu cepat lagi..  gunakan utility ini..

download utility ini supaya bisa membaca file linux ext3 di windows

Viola! now you can access the files on the corresponding Linux partition from the Windows file explorer by clicking on the drive letter you assigned to that partition. What is more, if you have a floppy which is formatted using the ext2 file system, then it could also be accessed in Windows without any problem.

1. Menetapkan IP Address
Misalkan kita punya 2 Interface (Kartu Jaringan), eth0 dan eth1, jadikan eth0 sebagai jalur ke internet (ip addressnya biasanya diberkan oleh ISP) dan eth2 sebagai jalur ke jaringan lokal (sebagai contoh masukkan range IP 192.168.0.1/24). edit file ifcfg-ethx untuk membuatnya permanent

masuk ke dalam folder etc/sysconfig/network-script/
#vi /etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0
